   After having your first baby, there are certain behaviors that almost every new mom and dad catch themselves doing. Sometimes, new parents don’t even know that they are doing these things but Mike Spohr happily points them out with a humorous list of 21 things all parents with a new baby are guilty of doing. 1. Trusting some family members more than others to hold your baby

2. Trying to channel your inner photographer and take “artsy” pictures of your baby’s toes and fingers

 3. Poking your baby to make sure they’re still breathing and then pretending it wasn’t you who woke the baby

 4. Taking a while to feel 100% confident when carrying the baby from place to place

 5. Breaking all your social media rules you promised yourself you wouldn’t do before giving birth. You want to post another picture of the baby so bad you can’t resist but you hate yourself for it.

 6. Thinking that your baby has an amazing personality and is smiling at you when they are actually just really gassy

 7. Having those “I can’t do this” meltdowns 

8. Using your baby as an excuse for everything, like not texting back when you really were just on candy crush or playing trivia crack

9. Taking very long baths or showers when you get the rare opportunities

The Funniest Tampon Commercial You’ll Ever Watch

Most people would agree that the tween years are just full of awkwardness- which includes a changing body, and often times an attitude to go along with it. Hello Flo, a start up that delivers monthly care packages of “ladies’ day” products recently released a commercial highlighting these awkward years and putting a light, humorous spin on it. And it worked. The funny ad has blown up across social media networks including YouTube, with over 21 million views in just a week (!). 

The clip, titled “First Moon Party”, opens with a young girl jealous of all her female friends who have entered womanhood while she is still patiently awaiting the arrival of her right of passage. Her patience has run out and she fakes her period, red nail polish and all. Her friends buy the scheme but, of course, her mother sees right through it. To get back at her for her lies (and mostly her attitude), Mom decides to throw her growing daughter a “First Moon Party” to embarrass her into finally admitting the truth.

The commercial perfectly captures the struggle many women were familiar with during those years and is pretty hilarious. Until watching this, I never knew a tampon commercial could be so entertaining.

MommyBlogger Elle Walker Creates Awesome Video for Her Childless Friends

For any Mom who has ever struggled to explain to their childless friends why they are bad texters or have “disappeared off the face of the earth” for a few weeks at a time- this is the perfect video for you! Youtube star and mother of two, Elle Walker, created a humorous and spot-on video of why she is sometimes “flakey” in the eyes of her friends without kids. Walker is a viral mommyblogger, quickly becoming a superstar through her insightful, funny, and accurate videos on her Youtube channel, “WhatsUpMoms”. 

The video was originally made as a creative way to apologize to her friends for being slow to text back or not answering phone calls instead of making the same old excuses- but since being put on the web it has gained a tremendous amount of popularity since so many moms can totally relate!

Every year, Mother's Day encourages us to show our moms how much we love them and appreciate everything they do for us. As that video, The Toughest Job in the World, showed us- being a mother is no easy task. It means unlimited patience, 24 hour a day availability, being nothing short of a professional multi tasker, putting her children’s needs before her own, being a chef, as well as a pro at managing 20,000 loads of laundry, and so much more. And being a mother also means witnessing, putting up with, and doing some pretty weird stuff when it comes to their child. The Funniest Holidays in August You Never Knew Existed

August, though a great time for vacations, seems to be one of the only months without a popular or fabulously exciting holiday. Although, August is not home to Valentine's Day, Independence Day, or Christmas, this month does happen to have a list of rather unique and pretty silly holidays that most people don't even know exist. 

1. August 2nd- National Ice Cream Sandwich Day

Starting the month of right by celebrating one of America's favorite summertime treats. We have been loving this snack since 1945 and never even knew it had a day dedicated to its deliciousness! 

2. August 3rd- National Watermelon and National Mustard Day

We just love our food so much that we need back-to-back holidays to celebrate! Watermelon is another summertime favorite, so having a day set aside in August to acknowledge this refreshing treat seems very fitting to me. And when one thinks summer, hot dogs and hamburgers are two other foods that come to mind, so reserving a day for one of hot dogs and hamburgers' best friends also seems appropriate. 

3. August 6th- Wiggle Your Toes Day

Definitely one of the more outrageous holidays I have ever heard of, but it is a holiday none the less, so count me in! Pedicures anyone? 

4. August 12th- Middle Child's Day

Now this is a holiday! Until now, I never knew there was a day reserved for the children who qualified as neither the oldest nor the babies of the family. But being a middle child myself, this is a holiday I could definitely get in the spirit for. 

5. August 15th- National Relaxation Day

I never really needed a special day to get in the mood for some serious relaxation, but if it's insisted I think I can clear my schedule…

6. August 18th- Bad Poetry Day

For all you inspiring poets who just haven't quite gotten it right, do not fear there is a day reserved for you! So clear your schedules and get out your pens, it is time for some seriously bad writing. And do not be afraid to share it with the world, that is what this holiday is all about after all!

7. August 25th- Kiss and Make Up Day

Of course we would never encourage fighting in a relationship. But if you and your special someone happened to butt heads around this time, put it all behind you for Kiss and Make Up Day!

8. August 30th- National Toasted Marshmallow Day

The month began by celebrating food, so of course it must end that way too! Toasting marshmallows over a campfire and making S'mores is definitely up there with ice cream sandwiches and watermelon as a classic summertime activity and it's just plain fun, so why not participate in this holiday?
